Algeria will supply Syria with domestic gas

The Minister of Petroleum and Natural Resources "Bassam Tohme" discussed with the Algerian Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, the possibilities of cooperation with Syria and the supply of domestic gas.

The sources indicated that the two sides discussed forms of cooperation in various issues, the most important of which is the supply of domestic gas to Syria from Algeria, and the two sides agreed to expedite procedures for signing the contract, given Algeria's possession of large quantities of domestic gas.

On the sidelines of the Russian Energy Week, the Minister of Oil told SANA: "We discussed the issue of cooperation in land and offshore exploration according to available opportunities, as well as oil shale, as well as cooperation in the field of phosphates and mineral resources, and we agreed to invite a delegation from Syria to visit Algeria before the end of this year.

It should be noted that Syria recently held a number of cooperation meetings with other countries in various fields, the most recent of which was a meeting last month with the Belarusian ambassador in Damascus to transport phosphates. The Belarusian page presented a technical report and a financial offer to ensure the quality mechanisms of the General Company for Phosphates.
