  • Battles Rages Between ISIS And SDF Backed Up By US And French Forces

    Deir Ezzor (Qasioun) – Intense battles broke out between the Islamic state ISIS militant group against the Syrian democratic forces SDF militant group, backed up by the French and US forces during the last 24 hours in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.


    SDF media official reported that US-Led Coalition launched 15 airstrikes on positions and VBIEDs for ISIS in Baghoz and Hajin towns eastern the Euphrates river, which led to eliminate 23 ISIS fighters, in addition to destroying 3 VBIEDs, military vehicles and tunnels.


    The official added that ISIS fighters launched an attack on SDF positions in Baghoz town using heavy weapons and VBIEDs, but the latter could foil the attack as US-Led Coalition warplanes and French artillery backing it up.


    ISIS attacks led to kill 3 SDF fighters and injured 5 others during the battles against ISIS, meanwhile, Meshal Hemesh, member of Deir Ezzor military council followed to SDF was killed by gunmen suspected to be followed to ISIS cells in the area.
