ISIS Capture Strategic Positions Eastern Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor (Qasioun) – The Islamic state ISIS militant group could capture swaths of land from Ashayer village near Abu Kamal city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.


The capture came following violent battles against the Syrian regime forces and their Iranian militias in the area, simultaneously while shelling with artillery and missiles on the engagement lines.


Russian forces forcing militias followed to the Syrian regime forces to strengthen the engagement lines of Abu Kamal city, which led to kill dozens of regime soldiers including Russian soldiers and the chief of the 11th tanks brigade.


ISIS conducting attacks that targeted positions followed to the Syrian regime forces and Iranian militias in Abu Kamal city and its outskirts, which led to seize Hasrat area and opening a road between its held areas on the shores of Euphrates river, in addition to re-capturing Baghoz village from SDF.
