Syrian Opposition Foil A Regime Offensive Northern Homs


Homs (Qasioun) – The Syrian opposition forces could foil an offensive on early Saturday launched by the Syrian regime forces and their backing up militias on Salim village's front in the northern countryside of Homs.


Syrian opposition's Jayesh Al-Tawheed faction announced that the fighters could foil the offensive following clashes between both sides that lasted for 2 hours, and led the Syrian regime forces to withdraw from the area.

Syrian opposition could break down a tank and destroyed a heavy artillery around the village located 45 km. away from Rastan city.


Syrian regime forces, backed up by Iranian militias, launched several military operations along the way of Homs – Salamya in the northern countryside of Homs, despite of including the area to the de-escalation zones agreement.
