Agencies (Qasioun) - A number of relief organizations in Turkey on Saturday evening sent 17 trucks of humanitarian aid to the areas of Afrin and the eastern Ghouta.

According to the Anadolu Agency, the humanitarian aid organization in the eastern province of Alazig supervised the collection of aids from various relief organizations to be sent to Syria.

It explained that each truck carrying 26 tons of flour on the board headed towards the border crossings with Syria.

Bulent Yildirim, head of the Turkish humanitarian relief organization IHH, said that part of the aid goes to Afrin, northern Syria, and part of it to the eastern Ghouta.

For months, the eastern region of Ghouta has been subjected to aerial and ground bombardment by regime forces, although they are among the areas of de-escalation agreement.
